Do you offer free estimates?
Yes! We provide free, detailed estimates for all repair work. Simply describe what you need, or bring your vehicle in for a diagnostic check. We'll explain exactly what needs to be done and give you a clear price before any work begins. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges.
What brands of tires do you carry?
We stock a wide selection of quality tires from major brands including Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, Bridgestone, and Firestone. If you're looking for a specific brand or type of tire, just let us know — we can usually get it within 1-2 business days. We also offer competitive pricing and installation.
Do you offer a warranty on repairs?
Absolutely. We stand behind our work with a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty on both parts and labor. Manufacturer warranties on parts vary by brand. If you experience any issues with a repair we completed, bring it back and we'll make it right at no charge.
How often should I change my oil?
It depends on your vehicle and the type of oil you use. Most manufacturers recommend every 5,000-7,500 miles for conventional oil and 7,500-10,000 miles for synthetic. If you do a lot of short trips, towing, or extreme temperatures, you may need changes more frequently. Check your owner's manual for specific recommendations.
How do I know if my brakes need service?
Watch for these signs: squealing or grinding noises, a soft or spongy brake pedal, the car pulling to one side when braking, vibration in the steering wheel, or the brake warning light on your dashboard. If you notice any of these, give us a call. Safety is not something to delay on.
Do I need to schedule an appointment?
We highly recommend scheduling an appointment to ensure we can get you in promptly. Same-day availability is often limited. You can schedule online through our contact form or simply give us a call at (319) 444-4422. For oil changes and minor services, walk-ins are sometimes welcome but may need to wait.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), and debit cards. We also accept personal checks for established customers with prior approval. Payment is due at the time of service completion.
Do you provide loaner cars or shuttle service?
Yes! For major repairs that require your vehicle overnight, we offer complimentary loaner vehicles (subject to availability). We also provide free shuttle service within Belle Plaine city limits — we'll drop you off at home or work and pick you up when your vehicle is ready.
Can you help with Iowa state inspections?
Yes, we perform Iowa safety and emissions inspections for $35. If your vehicle doesn't pass, we'll explain what needs to be repaired and provide an estimate. Once the repairs are complete, we'll get you back for a free reinspection.
